Hamel's Amusement Park

Hamel's Amusement Park was one of the few amusement parks located in the state of Louisiana for more than 35 years. Located in Shreveport, it was relatively small and yet hugely popular. People from across the state would visit its giant Ferris wheel or its roller coaster. A log flume was also added later to round out the large ride attractions. During the early years it had a train ride that covered the back end of the property, where zebras, elephants, and other zoo animals roamed.

The Shreveport – Bossier City metropolitan area is the center of the region known as the Ark-La-Tex. It is not the parish seat.

Regions Tower

The Regions Tower, formerly AmSouth Tower and before that the Commercial National Bank tower, is a high-rise in Shreveport, Louisiana in the USA.
