Anchorage is a city in eastern Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. The population was 2,264 at the 2000 census.
Middletown, Kentucky
Middletown is a city in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States. It was chartered as a city in 1797. The population was 7,218 at the 2010 census. When the government of Jefferson County merged with the city of Louisville, Kentucky in 2003, citizens of Middletown also became citizens of the new Louisville Metro, however, none of the incorporated places in Jefferson County were affected. Eastern High School is located in Middletown.

Founded in 1950, Louisville Eastern High School is located off Old Shelbyville Road in Middletown, Kentucky. With an enrollment of over 2,200 students, this school has been the pilot for education partnerships with companies such as IBM, Dell, CompTIA, Adobe, and Microsoft.
Berrytown, Louisville
Berrytown is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky centered along English Station Road. It is named for Alfred Berry, an early settler who bought a 10-acre parcel in 1874. The community was then and still is predominantly African-American, once composed of a large number of servants of the wealthy residents of nearby Anchorage, Kentucky. Urban renewal redevelopment was planned for the neighborhood in the 1960s, but eventually only expanded the southern part due to resistance by residents.
Griffytown, Louisville
Griffytown is a neighborhood of Louisville, Kentucky located along Old Harrods Creek Run. In 1879 Dan Griffy, an African American, purchased the land he had been living on in the area and the neighborhood appears to be named for him. The neighborhood was redeveloped in the 1960s through urban renewal and remains predominantly African American.

E. P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park
E. P. "Tom" Sawyer State Park is a 570-acre Kentucky state park located in the Freys Hill area of Louisville, Kentucky on former land of Kentucky's Central State Hospital. When opened in 1971, it was named in honor of Republican Jefferson County Judge/Executive Erbon Powers "Tom" Sawyer who was killed in a car accident on Louisville's Interstate 64 in 1969 while still in office. Sawyer is also notable as being the father of journalist Diane Sawyer.
Louisville Astronomical Society
The Louisville Astronomical Society (LAS) was founded in 1931 in Louisville, Kentucky by amateur astronomers, including James Gilbert Baker. Monthly meetings are held at 8:00 p.m. on the Third Tuesdays of each month. Monthly observing sessions, are held at the society's dark sky location, the James G.
