Strawberry Hill (Kansas City, Kansas)
Strawberry Hill is a Kansas City, Kansas neighborhood on the bluffs overlooking the confluence of the Kansas and Missouri Rivers. It is now a mainly South Slavic community. Strawberry Hill was previously known as Splitlog Hill, after Mathias Splitlog, a wealthy Indian mill owner who purchased the area and built a mansion on it in 1870. He later sold parcels to the Catholic church and to railroad interests.

Sumner Academy of Arts and Science is a nationally ranked magnet school in Kansas City, Kansas which prepares students for high-level academic and creative pursuits. Named for abolitionist Charles Sumner, it started in 1905 during a period of racial tension as a segregated school for black students, emphasizing vocational training. Located at 1610 N. 8th Street, the current architecturally significant complex began with its Art Deco core in 1937, but has been repeatedly expanded.
Kaw Point
Kaw Point is the name given to the point where the Kansas River terminates at the Missouri River in the West Bottoms area of Kansas City, Kansas. Kaw Point is also where the Missouri ceases its southerly course and turns to flow generally east through the State of Missouri to the Mississippi River at St. Louis.

Kansas City Southern Bridge
The Kansas City Southern Bridge is a rail crossing of the Kansas River. It has two main spans, and a smaller span at the west end. It is a thru-truss, and closed to traffic. It was built in 1905, by the Kansas City Southern Railway, and was closed in 1983. The bridge's rails are cut off at each end. It survived the 1951 Kansas City flood. It is located about 100 feet south of James Street over the Kansas River.
Intercity Viaduct
The Intercity Viaduct (officially the Lewis and Clark Viaduct since 1969) is an automobile and pedestrian crossing of the Kansas River in the United States. Designed by Waddell and Redrick, this four lane, two level deck truss bridge was built in 1907. It rises above the West Bottoms, and several sets of railroad tracks. It was the first roadway bridge to connect Kansas City, Missouri with Kansas City, Kansas non-stop all the way across.
Union Pacific Bridge (Two Rivers Bridge)
The Union Pacific Bridge (Two Rivers Bridge) is the first bridge on the Kansas River at Kansas City. It was built in 1904, and is a four span, through-truss structure carrying a single railroad track. It is located immediately north from the Intercity Viaduct. It replaces the first bridge at this location, which was destroyed by a flood in 1903.
James Street Bridge (Kansas City, Kansas)
The James Street Bridge is a car crossing of the Kansas River at Kansas City. It is the second bridge at this location. The first bridge was built in 1904 as a two lane, thru-truss bridge. The second bridge was built in 1987, as a two lane girder bridge, but using the 1904 pier from the first bridge.
Central Avenue Bridge (Kansas City, Kansas)
The Central Avenue Bridge is two level deck truss bridge over the Kansas River in Kansas City, Kansas. It was built in 1918, and rebuilt in 1984. It is just south of the Kansas City Southern Bridge, and north of the I-670 Viaduct over the Kansas River.

Memorial Hall is an American multi-purpose venue, located in Kansas City, Kansas. The 3,500-seat auditorium, which has a permanent stage, is used for public assemblies, concerts and sporting events.

The Kansas City Athletic Club is an athletic club and gentlemen's club in Kansas City, Kansas. Until 1997, it had been located across the Kansas River in downtown Kansas City, Missouri. Notable members have included President Harry S. Truman and basketball coach Phog Allen.
Cross Lines Tower
Cross Lines Tower is a 15-story 175 foot high building that from 1951 to 1969 was the tallest building in Kansas City, Kansas. It is currently the tallest building in downtown and is the city's third tallest building -- only a foot shorter than the other two.
