Friends University
Friends University is a private non-denominational Christian university in Wichita, Kansas. Friends University was founded in 1898. The main building was originally built in 1886 for Garfield University, but was donated in 1898 to the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers) by James Davis, a St. Louis business man. In the 1930s the leadership of the school was turned over to an independent Board of Trustees, with some representation of the Mid-America Yearly Meeting of Friends on the board.

Lawrence–Dumont Stadium
Lawrence-Dumont Stadium is a stadium in the Delano Neighborhood of Wichita, Kansas. It is primarily used for baseball, and is the home field of the Wichita Wingnuts independent baseball team. The Keeper of the Plains
The Keeper of the Plains is a 13.4 metres Cor-Ten steel sculpture by Kiowa-Comanche artist Blackbear Bosin. It stands at the confluence of the Arkansas and Little Arkansas rivers in Wichita, Kansas adjacent to the Mid-America All-Indian Center. Surrounding the base of the statue are multiple displays which describe the local tribes that used to inhabit this area, as well as several fire pits which sometimes light up to illuminate the statue at night.
Old Cowtown Museum
Old Cowtown Museum is a living history museum located in Wichita, Kansas along the Arkansas River. It focuses on life in Wichita during the last part of the 19th century. The museum sits on 23 acres and consists of 60+ historic and recreated buildings, including a period farm and out-buildings. The museum artifact collection includes 12,000+ items dating from the period and ranginf from farm wagons to tea spoons.
