Winfield is a city and county seat of Cowley County, Kansas, United States. It is situated along the Walnut River in South Central Kansas. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 12,301 and second most populous city of Cowley County.

Richard L. Jantz Stadium (formerly "Sonner Stadium") is a sport stadium in Winfield, Kansas. The facility is primarily used by the Southwestern College Moundbuilders football and track & field teams. The grass field is named "Art Kahler Field" from prominent Southwestern alum Art Kahler and the surrounding track is named "Monypenny Track" in honor of alum William Monypenny.
St. John's College (Kansas)
St. John's College was a two-year college located in Winfield, Kansas and was operated by the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. The school began operation in 1893 and ceased operation in 1986, after over 9,000 students had been through its programs. The college facilities now make up what is called "Baden Square", named to honor the college founder John Peter Baden. The City of Winfield uses the facilities for civic functions and municipal activities.
