Great Bend, named for its location at the historic big bend of the Arkansas River, is the most populous city in and the county seat of Barton County, Kansas, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 15,995.

Part of the K-LOVE broadcast empire, the station was formerly called KBJC-FM, and was owned and operated by Barton County Community College in Great Bend, Kansas. At the FM frequency of 91.9, broadcasting from juco the campus at a power level of 10 watts, the radio station was run by the school's former department of radio and broadcasting during the 1970s and 1980s.

Great Bend High School Memorial Stadium is a sport stadium in Great Bend, Kansas. The facility is primarily used by the Great Bend High School football and track & field teams. The stadium underwent renovation recently. The stadium was also used as a temporary home by nearby Hoisington High School after much of Hoisington suffered severe damage from an F-4 tornado on April 21, 2001.

Great Bend Station
Great Bend Station was an Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway station in Great Bend, Kansas. The station was along Santa Fe's main line between Chicago and Los Angeles. It was on the "northern branch" of the main line as it spilt in Hutchinson, Kansas. It was also served by a line the ran to Garden City, Kansas, travelling through Ness City and Scott City. Both of these lines are now operated by the Kansas and Oklahoma Railroad.
