Iowa State University of Science and Technology, more commonly known as Iowa State University (ISU), is a public land-grant and space-grant research university located in Ames, Iowa, United States. State Gymnasium is an arena on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. It was opened in 1913, and once was the school's primary indoor athletic facility, before the opening of Hilton Coliseum. It is located at the corner of Union Drive, just north of the site of the former Clyde Williams Stadium. The brick building was built in two years at a cost of $150,000.
KURE
KURE is a radio station licensed to Ames, Iowa, USA, the station serves the Iowa State community, Ames, and surrounding areas. The station is currently owned by Residence Associations Broadcasting Services. The station features a variety of programming, including most genres of music, talk shows, and coverage of ISU sporting events. Hip-hop, electronica, rock, americana, and jazz are just a few of the music genres played by KURE's constantly rotating staff of student DJ's.

KASI (1430 AM, "News Talk 1430") is a radio station licensed to serve Ames, Iowa. The station is owned by Clear Channel Communications and licensed to Citicasters Licenses, Inc. It airs a News/Talk radio format. The station was assigned the KASI call letters by the Federal Communications Commission. The transmitter and tower are located in northwest Ames. According to the Antenna Structure Registration database, the tower is 123 m tall.
Veenker Memorial Golf Course
Veenker Memorial Golf Course is a public golf course which is owned and operated by Iowa State University. The golf course was completed in 1938 and has hosted the Iowa Master's golf tournament since then. In 1959 the course was renamed for George F. Veenker, who was the head football coach at Iowa State from 1931 to 1936. In 2003 Veenker was ranked among "America's Best State Public Access Courses" by Golfweek magazine.
Clyde Williams Field
Clyde Williams Field was an outdoor stadium on the campus of Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa. It was the home of the Iowa State Cyclones football and track and field teams. It was originally built in 1914-15, just south of the recently completed State Gym. It originally held 5,000 spectators, but expansions in 1925, 1930, 1932, 1961 and 1966 brought the final capacity up to approximately 35,000.
Iowa State Armory
Iowa State Armory was a 7,500 seat multi-purpose arena in Ames, Iowa. It was home to the Iowa State University Cyclones basketball team until the Hilton Coliseum opened in 1971. The main floor of the arena now serves project space for the College of Design. Other tenants of the building include the Department of Public Safety as well as Army, Navy, and Air Force ROTC.
