Jack Trice Stadium
Jack Trice Stadium (originally Cyclone Stadium and formerly Jack Trice Field) is a stadium, in Ames, Iowa, United States. It is primarily used for college football, and is the home field of the Iowa State Cyclones. It opened on September 20, 1975, with a 17-12 win over Air Force. It is the second-newest stadium in the Big 12 Conference behind only Milan Puskar Stadium of West Virginia (which had its design based on Jack Trice Stadium), and is the sixth-largest by capacity in the conference.
Hilton Coliseum
James H. Hilton Coliseum is a 14,376-seat multi-purpose arena in Ames, Iowa. The arena opened in 1971. It is home to the Iowa State University Cyclones men's and women's basketball teams, wrestling, gymnastics and volleyball teams.
Reiman Gardens
Reiman Gardens is situated on a 14- acre site located immediately south of Jack Trice Stadium on the Iowa State University (ISU) campus in Ames, Iowa. Reiman Gardens (pronounced Rye-Men) is a year-round facility that has become one of the top ten attractions in Central Iowa. It is open seven days per week, from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, with extended hours in the summer season and extended evening hours for its annual events. The Gardens are closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's Day.

In the U.S. state of Iowa, the Iowa Department of Transportation (DOT) is the state government organization responsible for the organization, construction, and maintenance of the primary highway system. Located in Ames, the DOT is also responsible for licensing drivers and programming and planning for aviation, rail, and public transit. The organization was created in 1904 as the Iowa State Highway Commission, an extension of Iowa State College in Ames.

Mary Greeley Medical Center is a 220 bed regional referral center owned by the City of Ames, Iowa. Although city owned, no public funds are used for ongoing operations, and it operates much like a private hospital. As the second largest employer in Story County, it is located 1/2 mile (.8 km) north of the Ames central business district with a staff of 1,437 employees and annual payroll of $34.7m. Administrative responsibility is held by a five person publicly elected board.
Catt Hall
Catt Hall is an administrative building completed in 1892, at Iowa State University which currently houses the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, and the Carrie Chapman Center for Women and Politics. The building is named for Carrie Chapman Catt, an American women's rights activist and founder of the League of Women Voters. She graduated from Iowa State in 1880 at the top of her class.
North Grand Mall
North Grand Mall is a 340,000-square-foot shopping center serving the city of Ames, Iowa and owned by GK Development, Inc. since 2004. In 2006, plans were announced for a $30 million renovation and expansion. In 2004, a farmers' market operated at the mall. The mall's anchor stores are JCPenney and Younkers, with a third anchor having announced its closure in late 2008. The Sears building was torn down, with Kohl's, TJ Maxx, and Shoe Carnival opening on its site.
