Pella is a city in Marion County, Iowa, United States. The population was 10,352 at the 2010 census. Pella is the home of Central College as well as several manufacturing companies, including Pella Corporation and Vermeer Manufacturing Company.
Central College (Iowa)
Central College is a private liberal arts college located in Pella, Iowa. It is a four-year school affiliated with the Reformed Church in America. Central has a student body of approximately 1,600 undergraduates and a 130 acres main campus. The college is noted for its study abroad program.
KCUI
KCUI was a radio station that serves the Pella, Iowa area. The station primarily broadcast a college format. KCUI was licensed to Central University of Iowa. The KCUI studio is located in the basement of the Maytag Building on Central University's campus. The station's license was cancelled by the Federal Communications Commission on December 6, 2011. This follows a $7,000 fine from the FCC imposed in 2007 for late filing of the station's 2004 license renewal.
