Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden
The Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is a zoo that opened in 1928 in Evansville, Indiana. It is one of the oldest and largest zoos in the state. Set in a 50-acre park, the zoo features 200 species and more than 700 animals roaming freely in natural habitats surrounded by exotic plants, wildflowers, and trees. The Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums.

Burdette Park
Burdette Park is a recreational facility in Vanderburgh County, Indiana. It is the only municipal park in Vanderburgh County not operated by the City of Evansville. WIKY-FM
WIKY-FM 104.1 FM is a full-service/Adult Contemporary music radio station serving the Evansville, Indiana radio market. The call letters WIKY first debuted in 1948, when John A. Engelbrecht gained the FCC license for 820 AM. WIKY signed on August 4, 1948. The studios were on the west side of Evansville, in a unique building with the studios in the basement and the Engelbrecht residence upstairs. In 1953, Engelbrecht obtained one of the first FM licenses available, at 104.1 FM.

Western Terrace
Western Terrace is a housing subdivision on the West Side of Evansville, Indiana. It was constructed in the 1950s in a suburban style similar to Levittown, New York, where every house is very similar which allowed for more efficient, and thus more economical homebuilding practices.
