Butlerville is an unincorporated community in central Campbell Township, Jennings County, Indiana, United States. Butlerville is named after penologist Amos W. Butler (1860-1937) who spayed and neutered all mental patients at the nearby state mental hospital and spayed and neutered prisoners. The state of Indiana was the first state to do this.
