Columbus, Indiana
Columbus is a city in and the county seat of Bartholomew County, Indiana, United States. The population was 44,061 at the 2010 census. Located approximately forty miles (64 km) south of Indianapolis, on the east fork of the White River, it is the state's 20th largest city. It is also the principal city of the Columbus, Indiana, metropolitan statistical area which encompasses all of Bartholomew County. Columbus is currently ranked 11th in the US on the list of safest cities per population.

Columbus East High School
Columbus East High School (CEHS) is one of two high schools in Columbus, Indiana. It was founded in 1972 due to the growing educational demands of the community. As the population of the community rose, Columbus High School could not support all school age students. Columbus East was constructed and Columbus High School became Columbus North High School. The principal at Columbus East is Mark Newell. He is assisted by Vice Principal Charles Edwards.

Columbus Christian School
Columbus Christian School is the only non-denominational, state accredited, private school in Columbus, Indiana. It offers classes for children in grades Pre-K through 12th grade. Columbus Christian offers field trip opportunities to its students, including regular trips to the Indiana Repertory Theater, hands-on high school mission trips, and trips to Washington, D.C. Bakalar Air Force Base

Opened during World War II, the base was a training base for medium-range C-46 and C-47 troop carrier planes and glider pilots. It also was used for training B-25 Mitchell and B-26 Marauder bomber crews.
Hamilton Ice Arena
Hamilton Ice Arena is a year-round indoor arena and recreational sport facility in Columbus, Indiana. Hamilton features 17,000 square feet of ice. Originally an outdoor facility, Hamilton Ice Arena was designed by Harry Weese and built in 1958. The building is chalet style, with coarse materials and a triple-beamed roof. In 1975, a continuation of the structures was added to enclose and expand the skating area to a regulation size hockey rink and adjoining practice area.
