Galena is the county seat and largest city of Jo Daviess County, Illinois in the United States, with a population of 3,429 in 2010. The existing depot is listed in the National Register of Historic Places, and the city of Galena proposes using the existing depot (which is currently in use as a tourist information center) as Galena's Amtrak station.
