Des Plaines, Illinois
Des Plaines is a city in Cook County, Illinois, United States. It has adopted the official nickname of "City of Destiny". As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 58,364. It is a suburb of Chicago and is next to O'Hare International Airport. The Des Plaines River runs through the city, just east of its downtown area.
Mount Prospect, Illinois
Mount Prospect is a village in Elk Grove and Wheeling Townships in Cook County, Illinois, about 22 miles northwest of downtown Chicago. As of the 2010 census, the village had a total population of 54,167.
Rosemont, Illinois
Rosemont is a village in Cook County, Illinois, United States, located immediately northwest of Chicago. As of the 2010 census it had a population of 4,202. The village was incorporated in 1956, though it had been settled long before that. While Rosemont's land area and population are relatively small among municipalities in the Chicago Metropolitan Area, the village is a major center for commercial activity in the region and is a key component of the Golden Corridor.
American Airlines Flight 191
American Airlines Flight 191 was a regularly scheduled passenger flight from O'Hare International Airport in Chicago to Los Angeles International Airport. On May 25, 1979, the McDonnell Douglas DC-10-10 operating the flight crashed moments after takeoff from Chicago. All 258 passengers and 13 crew on board were killed, along with two people on the ground. Until the September 11 attacks, it was the deadliest air disaster in the history of the United States.
Des Plaines crater
The Des Plaines crater or Des Plaines disturbance is recognized as an impact crater in Illinois, United States. It is located beneath the eastern part of the city of Des Plaines, which is a suburb of Chicago. It is 5.5 miles in diameter and the age is estimated to be less than 280 million years. The crater is buried beneath 75 to 200 feet (23–60 m) of glacial till and can only be seen as a series of faults and deformation in well logs and seismic surveys.
Lake Opeka
Lake Opeka is a small, 40 acres lake in Des Plaines, Illinois, with an 18 hole par-3 golf course on its western shore. On the northern bank is Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Jogging paths run around the east side, where a band shelter is located amongst picnic tables and grills, exercise stations and a playground. The southern end has a volleyball sand pit. Rumor has it that there is a jeep underwater in the deepest part along with an old road. Fishing is allowed.
Maine North High School
Maine North High School was a school in unincorporated Maine Township, part of Maine Township High School District 207 which includes Maine East, Maine West, and Maine South High Schools. It closed in 1981. It served parts of Des Plaines, Glenview, and Niles. As student population shrank, the decision came down to closing Maine East or Maine North. Maine East, the oldest school in the district, had been opened in 1929, but also had considerable numbers of alumni and students with the S.O.S.

Allstate Arena
Allstate Arena (originally Rosemont Horizon) is a multi-purpose arena in Rosemont, Illinois. It is home to the Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League, DePaul University's men's basketball team, the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, and the Chicago Sky of the WNBA. It serves central Mount Prospect and a large portion of east Arlington Heights close to the Mt. Prospect village limits.
O'Hare (CTA station)
O'Hare is the 'L' station at the northwestern terminus of the CTA's Blue Line. It is a subway station with two island platforms serving three tracks, located at O'Hare International Airport, 17 miles (27 km) northwest of the Chicago Loop. Trains are scheduled to depart from O'Hare roughly every 2-7 minutes during rush-hour periods, and take about 40 minutes to travel to the Loop. It is the westernmost station of the 'L' system.
WMTH
WMTH-FM, located in Park Ridge, Illinois, was among the first high school radio stations in the United States when it was licensed in 1959. Established by the Student Council at Maine Township High School, now Maine East High School, the station went on the air during December 1959. The station became known as "The Voice of Maine Township". The radio station was built by electronics teacher, Theron Whitfield, and electronics students in the school.
O'Hare Transfer (Metra)
O'Hare Transfer is a commuter railroad station along Metra's North Central Service that serves Chicago's O'Hare International Airport. The station is 18.6 miles away from Union Station, the southern terminus of the line. The station is located at the dead end of Zemke Boulevard east of Mannheim Road outside the northeast corner of Economy Parking Lot F. To access the station from the airport, take the free Airport Transit System train from any terminal to the final station in Parking Lot E.

Prospect Heights is a station on Metra's North Central Service in Prospect Heights, Illinois. The station is 26.6 miles away from Union Station, the southern terminus of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Prospect Heights is in zone E.

It is officially located at 881 North Dee Road, and lies 14.6 miles from the Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Dee Road is in zone C. Dee Road Station was rebuilt in 2006 as a replacement for the former Dee Road Station on the opposite side of Dee Road, by the Chicago and North Western Railway in 1967.

Rainbow Hospice and Palliative Care, founded in 1981, is a well established non-profit organization and the largest hospice and palliative care provider in Cook County, Illinois.
