Austin, Chicago
Austin, located on the West Side of Chicago, Illinois, is the largest (by population) of the city's 77 officially defined community areas, followed by Lake View. Its eastern boundary is the Belt Railway located just east of Cicero Avenue. Its northernmost border is the Milwaukee District/West Line. Its southernmost border is at Roosevelt Road from the Belt Railway west to Austin Boulevard. The northernmost portion, north of North Avenue, extends west to Harlem Avenue, abutting Elmwood Park.

Conservatory–Central Park Drive (CTA station)
Conservatory–Central Park Drive is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Green Line. It opened on June 30, 2001. It is named for the Garfield Park Conservatory just outside the station. Conservatory–Central Park Drive station replaced the former Homan Avenue Station on the Lake Street Elevated two blocks to its east. During construction of the station the Homan historic station house was moved to its current location.

Pulaski is an elevated, side platformed rapid transit station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Green Line. Pulaski is located at the intersection of Lake Street and Pulaski Road in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The station opened in March 1894.

Cicero is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Green Line. It opened on March 3, 1894, and serves both the Englewood and Jackson Park Branches. Until 1948, the next station towards the Chicago Loop was Kostner Station. The station is 24 blocks east and 2 blocks north of Harlem.
Laramie (CTA station)
Laramie is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Green Line. It opened on April 29, 1894 as a terminus of the Lake Street Elevated Railroad. It is the first station above Lake Street as the line follows an elevated embankment to Harlem/Lake.

Central is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system and is located at 350 North Central Avenue.
Pulaski (CTA Blue Line station)
Pulaski is a station on the 'L' system, serving the Blue Line's Forest Park branch. The station is located in the median of the Eisenhower Expressway within the West Garfield Park neighborhood. A long ramp connects the platform to the station house on the Pulaski Road overpass. There was originally a similar entrance from the Keeler Avenue overpass; the entrance from Keeler was closed to cut costs on January 15, 1973, but retained as an exit, and the exit was fully closed on December 28, 1978.
Cicero (CTA Blue Line station)
Cicero is a station on the 'L' system, serving the Blue Line's Forest Park branch. It is the westernmost station situated in the median of the Eisenhower Expressway in the Austin neighborhood. Originally Cicero had an additional entrance at Lavergne Avenue, but this was closed on May 16, 1977, by the CTA as a cost-cutting measure. The structure for this exit still stands but it is closed to the public. This is the last station on the Forest Park branch within the Chicago city limits.
Pulaski (CTA Pink Line station)
Pulaski is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Pink Line. Pulaski opened on June 16, 1902, as part of the Douglas Park branch of the Metropolitan West Side Elevated Railroad. It served as the terminus of that line until its 1907 extension to 48th Avenue.
Kostner (CTA Pink Line station)
Kostner is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Pink Line. Kostner station was originally opened as Kildare Station. During reconstruction in 2003, the station was renamed Kostner because the primary entrance was moved one block west to Kostner Avenue and the Kildare entrance became an auxiliary entrance. Kostner has the lowest ridership of any station on the L, serving only 500 people on an average weekday.

Cicero is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Pink Line. The station was the site of an accident in 1979 in which a train derailed and hit the station, stopping just short of the ticket agent's booth.

54th/Cermak is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Pink Line, and is the western terminus of this line. It is at Cermak Road between 54th and Laramie Avenues.
Hawthorne Works
The Hawthorne Works, in Cicero, Illinois, was a large factory complex built by Western Electric starting in 1905 and operating until 1983. It had 45,000 employees at the height of its operations. Besides telephone equipment, the factory produced a wide variety of consumer products, including refrigerators and electric fans. Hawthorne Works was named for Hawthorne, Illinois, a small town that was later incorporated into Cicero.

The Beeson House and Coach House is a Queen Anne style house located at 5801 West Midway Park in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The house was built in 1892 by Fredrick R. Schock for Fredrick Beeson. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on January 20, 1999.

The F. R. Schock House is a Queen Anne style house at 5804 West Midway Park in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The house was built in 1886 by Fredrick R. Schock for himself. It was designated a Chicago Landmark on January 20, 1999.

Cicero (Metra)
Cicero is a station on Metra's BNSF Railway Line, located in Cicero, Illinois. The station is 7 miles away from Union Station, the eastern terminus of the line. In Metra's zone-based fare system, Cicero is in zone B. The station is located east of the Cicero Railroad Yard, and several blocks south of the Cicero on the Cermak Branch of Chicago 'L''s Pink Line formerly known as the Douglas-Loop Service. Metra rebuilt the station's platforms and shelters in 2010.
Third Unitarian Church
The Third Unitarian Church (commonly abbreviated as "TUC") is a Unitarian Universalist church in the West Side of Chicago, Illinois. It was founded in November 1868. Because of its pioneering architecture for its day, it has become much of a landmark in Chicago, and is now an official landmark. The church is liberal and describes itself as "a progressive, welcoming, and diverse congregation". For a long time, it has encouraged gays, lesbians, and bisexuals to join its congregation.

Kostner (CTA Congress Line station)
Kostner is an abandoned rapid transit station in the West Garfield Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The station served the Chicago Transit Authority's Congress Line, which is now part of the Blue Line. Kostner was opened on August 5, 1962; it was the only station on the Congress Line which was not opened with the line on June 22, 1958. The station closed on September 2, 1973, due to low ridership.
Laramie (CTA Blue Line station)
Laramie is a former station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, that served the current Pink Line when it was still a branch of the Blue Line. It was closed on February 9, 1992 because of service cuts that resulted from budget problems. It was temporarily put back into service on February 25, 2002 for the Douglas Rehabilitation Project while the terminal at 54th/Cermak was being rebuilt. It was again closed after the new station at 54th/Cermak opened on August 16, 2003.

Austin Community Academy High School
Austin Community Academy High School was a public 4-year high school located at 231 N Pine Avenue in the Austin neighborhood on the west side of Chicago, Illinois. The school opened in 1890, and was named after Henry W. Austin, a local real estate developer The online newsletter Chicago-Catalyst. org called it the yellow brick fortress. The campus is now home to three smaller schools.
