Argyle is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system. It is situated between the Berwyn and Lawrence stations on the Red Line, which runs from Rogers Park at Chicago's northern city limits, through downtown Chicago, to Roseland. It is an elevated station with a single island platform located at 1118 West Argyle Street in the West Argyle Street Historic District of Chicago's Uptown community area.
Western (CTA Brown Line station)
Western is an 'L' station on the CTA's Brown Line. It is an elevated station with two side platforms, located in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. The adjacent stations are Rockwell, which is located about one quarter mile (0.4 km) to the west, and Damen, about one half mile (0.8 km) to the east. Between Western and Rockwell the line descends and runs on surface level tracks for the rest of the route to Kimball.

Bachman House
The Bachman House is a house in Chicago, Illinois, United States. It is located at 1244 W. Carmen Ave. The house was built between 1947 and 1948 by Bruce Goff. Architect Bruce Goff created a neighborhood sensation in 1948, when he remodeled a modest wood house (built in 1889) into the home and studio for recording engineer Myron Bachman. The window openings were changed and an exterior cladding of brick and corrugated aluminum was added.
Kinetic Playground
The Kinetic Playground was a short-lived nightclub located in the Uptown neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The club was opened on April 3, 1968 as the Electric Theater by Aaron Russo and was located at 4812 N. Clark Street (NW corner of Clark and Lawrence). The building was constructed in 1928 and at one time included a dance hall, entertainment center, and ice and roller skating rinks, all known as Rainbo Gardens.
Aragon Ballroom (Chicago)

Buddhist Temple of Chicago
The Buddhist Temple of Chicago (BTC) was founded in October 1944 by Gyomay Kubose, a minister of the Higashi Honganji branch of the Jōdo Shinshū (“Pure Land True Essence”) sect, along with several laypeople who had been released from the Japanese American internment camps. Although the temple is administratively independent, the teaching lineage reflects the progressive Jōdo Shinshū thought of Manshi Kiyozawa and his student, Haya Akegarasu, who was Kubose’s teacher.
Mountain Moving Coffeehouse
The Mountain Moving Coffeehouse for Womyn and Children was a feminist venue located in Chicago that operated for thirty-one years, from 1974 until 2005. The name of the organization evokes the political task that feminists must "move the mountains" of institutional sexism and homophobia. The "coffeehouse" was a once-a-week Saturday night gathering, held at a rented space in a local Unitarian church, that presented woman-identified music and entertainment by and for lesbians and feminists.
