The Bobs (roller coaster)
The Bobs at Riverview Park in Chicago, Illinois is considered by some roller coaster enthusiasts to have been the ultimate wooden roller coaster. It was built in 1924 and was demolished with the rest of the park in 1967. The Bobs was built by Frank Prior and Fred Church at a cost of $80,000. The Bobs had a maximum height of 87 feet, a drop of 85 feet, and reached speeds of 50 miles per hour .

It was the terminus of the Blue Line until it was extended along the Kennedy Expressway to the Jefferson Park stop in 1970 and to O'Hare Airport in 1984. From Logan Square, trains run at intervals of 2–7 minutes during rush-hour periods, and take 14 minutes to travel to the Loop. O'Hare bound trains take 26 minutes to reach the airport.

Damen is a station on the Chicago Transit Authority's 'L' system, serving the Blue Line, on North Damen Avenue at West North Avenue. It serves the popular and growing Bucktown and Wicker Park neighborhoods. It is the subject of Bert Monroy's famous image Damen. From Damen, trains run at intervals of 2–7 minutes during rush-hour periods, and take 8 minutes to reach the Clark/Lake station in the Loop. It was also once the eastern terminus of the Humboldt Park Branch.
