The Water Tower Place is a large urban, mixed-use development comprising a 758,000 sq ft shopping mall and 74 story skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The complex is located at 835 North Michigan Avenue, along the Magnificent Mile. It is named after the nearby Chicago Water Tower. It is owned by General Growth Properties.

900 North Michigan in Chicago is a skyscraper completed in 1989. At 871 feet (265 m) tall, it is currently the eighth tallest building in Chicago and the 25th tallest in the United States. It was developed by Urban Retail Properties in 1988 as an upscale sister to Water Tower Place, one block southeast, and was the second vertical mall built along the Magnificent Mile. The building features a large, upscale shopping mall called 900 North Michigan Shops.

At 844 feet (257 m) tall with 70 floors — 67 floors for practical use, it is the eleventh tallest building in Chicago, the 35th tallest building in the United States, and the eighty-third tallest in the world by architectural detail. It is one of the world's tallest buildings to be clad with architectural precast concrete.

WYCC is the secondary PBS member station serving the Chicago, Illinois metropolitan area. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 21 from a transmitter located atop the John Hancock Center in the Chicago Loop. Owned by the City Colleges of Chicago, WYCC maintains studios located at Kennedy–King College on South Union Avenue and Halsted Parkway in the Englewood neighborhood. The station can also be seen on Comcast Xfinity, RCN, WOW! and AT&T U-verse channel 239.

It is on the east side of Michigan Avenue opposite the Chicago Water Tower. The station was built in 1869 by architect William W. Boyington.
1000 Lake Shore Plaza
1000 Lake Shore Plaza is a 590ft (180m) tall skyscraper in Chicago, Illinois. It was completed in 1964 and has 55 floors. Sidney Morris designed the building, which is the 47th tallest in Chicago. When it was completed, it was claimed as the tallest reinforced concrete building in the world, but the Tour de la Bourse in Montreal was completed the same year, thus taking the title. The tower was also the tallest building in Chicago with balconies until the Park Tower was completed in 1999.
