WQXI's signal is non-directional during the daytime, and directional at night. As of 2009, the station broadcasts in the IBiquity HD Radio AM hybrid digital mode during daytime hours.
Woodruff Arts Center
Woodruff Arts Center is a major visual and performing arts center located in Atlanta. The center houses four arts divisions in one campus and not-for-profit organization. Opened in 1968, the Woodruff Arts Center is home to the Alliance Theatre, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, the High Museum of Art, Young Audiences and the 14th Street Playhouse.
Atlanta Dogwood Festival
The Atlanta Dogwood Festival is an arts and crafts festival held each spring at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Originally held for nine days across two weekends and the weekdays between, it is now held only one weekend during early April, when the native dogwoods are in bloom.
Cotton States and International Exposition
The 1895 Cotton States and International Exposition was held at the current Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Nearly 800,000 visitors attended the event. The exposition was designed to promote the region to the world and showcase products and new technologies as well as to encourage trade with Latin America. The Cotton States and International Exposition featured exhibits from several states including various innovations in agriculture and technology.
Alliance Theatre
The Alliance Theatre is a theater company in Atlanta, Georgia, based at the Alliance Theatre, part of the Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center, and is the winner of the 2007 Regional Theatre Tony Award. The company, originally the Atlanta Municipal Theatre, staged its first production at the Alliance in 1968. The following year the company became the Alliance Theatre Company.
Piedmont Driving Club
The Piedmont Driving Club is a private social club with two club houses in Atlanta, Georgia. It has enjoyed a reputation as one of the most prestigious private clubs in the South. Founded in 1887 originally as the Gentlemen's Driving Club, the name reflected the interest of the members to "drive" their horse & carriages on the club grounds. The club later briefly used the adjacent grounds as a golf course until it sold the land to the city in 1904 to create Piedmont Park.
Lindbergh Center (MARTA station)
Lindbergh Center station is an at-grade Train station on the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system in the Lindbergh/Morosgo neighborhood in southern Buckhead. This is a part-time terminus of the Red Line and the last transfer point for the Red (North Springs) and Gold (Doraville) rail lines. It is the only station on this route served by the Red and Gold lines at all times.
Atlanta Symphony Hall
Atlanta Symphony Hall is the home venue of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. It is located within the Woodruff Arts Center at 1280 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The venue has a total capacity of 1,762 seats on three levels: 1,074 in the orchestra section, 349 in the lower balcony and 339 in the upper balcony. There are also spaces for 12 wheelchairs and 12 companion seats, as well as room for 82 additional seats in the orchestra pit, depending on the stage set-up.
Hebrew Benevolent Congregation Temple bombing
The Hebrew Benevolent Congregation Temple, a Reform Jewish temple located on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia, and known simply as "The Temple," was bombed in the early morning hours of October 12, 1958. An explosion of approximately fifty sticks of dynamite tore through the side wall of the building. The synagogue was one of Atlanta's oldest and wealthiest. No one was injured in the bombing. Those who heard the blast reported a "loud explosion" to police and newspapers.
Louvre Atlanta
Louvre Atlanta is an art collaboration showing exhibits from the Louvre in Paris at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta from October 2006 to 2009. The High museum is holding related programs including lectures and art-making workshops. Three major sponsors include Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines, and United Parcel Service, all based in or immediately outside of Atlanta. The total budget for Louvre Atlanta is estimated at $18 million.
WMLB
WMLB AM 1690, "The Voice of the Arts", is a radio station licensed to Avondale Estates, Georgia, and serves most of the metro Atlanta radio market. WMLB transmits on 1690 kHz with 10,000 watts daytime power and 1,000 watts at night. The station broadcasts an eclectic radio format, playing classical music, folk music, jazz, show tunes, comedy bits, and some rock and roll. WMLB's sister station is talk radio station WCFO AM, "News Talk 1160.
WGKA
WGKA AM, "Talk 920", is a radio station based in Atlanta, Georgia which broadcasts a syndicated talk radio format. It is owned by Salem Communications and has many of the same hosts, such as William Bennett, Hugh Hewitt, Michael Medved, Dennis Prager, and Mike Gallagher, heard on other Salem-owned radio stations across the U.S.. Denny Schaffer is heard from 9 to 11 pm and is locally produced. There was also once a WGKA station on 1190 AM, exclusively devoted to classical music.
WAFS (AM)
WAFS AM is a local Atlanta area AM broadcasting station that broadcasts business news talk radio programming. It broadcasts at a frequency of 1190 kHz with 25,000 Watts of power during the daytime and 2,300 Watts during critical hours using a non-directional antenna. The Federal Communications Commission has authorized WAFS to operate pre-sunrise with 350 Watts and post-sunset with power levels from 150 to 54 Watts.
WNIV
WNIV is a Christian talk radio station licensed to Atlanta in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is owned by Salem Communications along with its sister station WLTA. WLTA (AM) in Alpharetta, Georgia relays the programming of WNIV in that northern Atlanta suburb at 1400 kHz. WNIV broadcasts at a frequency of 970 kHz with 5,000 watts of power during daytime hours and 39 watts during nighttime hours both times using a non-directional antenna pattern.
Alliance Center
The Alliance Center is a complex in Atlanta, Georgia. The tallest building is the 478 ft, 40 floor, Paramount at Buckhead. It also includes the 22 floor One Alliance Center, and the 30 floor Two Alliance Center.
Atlanta fire station 19
Fire station 19 is Atlanta's oldest operating fire station. It is located at 1063 N. Highland Ave. in the heart of the Virginia Highland neighborhood of Atlanta. It was built in 1924 in the bungalow style prevalent in Virginia Highland, and is considered a neighborhood landmark. The fire station provides a number of additional community services such as a car-seat installations and safety checks, blood-pressure monitoring, safe shelter for women in need, and a monthly storytime for children.
Lindridge/Martin Manor
For other uses see Lindridge (disambiguation) Lindridge/Martin Manor is an intown neighborhood of Atlanta, Georgia. It consists mostly of the single-family homes located off of Lindbergh Drive in between I-85 and Cheshire Bridge Road. In addition, it includes a small commercial area of three streets west of I-85 bounded by Peachtree Creek, Piedmont Road and the Southern railroad.

Colony Square
Colony Square is a mixed-use development and sub-district in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, located on Peachtree Street in between 14th and 15th Streets. The sub-district, which originated as the first mixed-use development in the Southeast, was built between 1969 and 1975 in modernist style. Colony Square comprises three skyscrapers, two containing offices (Colony Square 100 and Colony Square 400) and one housing a hotel, W Atlanta-Midtown.
Lenox Park (DeKalb County, Georgia)
Lenox Park is a neighborhood located mostly within the city of Brookhaven, just east of the city of Atlanta border. Most of the office space in Lenox Park is used by AT&T Mobility and other departments of AT&T. Public transportation is provided through a frequent BUC (Buckhead Uptown Connection) shuttle to the Lenox MARTA station during business hours. The actual park for which the neighborhood is named is a 22 acre greenspace known as Central Park.
World Athletes Monument
The World Athletes Monument, more commonly known as the Prince Charles Monument or Prince of Wales Monument, is a monument located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The monument, dedicated to the 1996 Summer Olympics, is a gift from HRH the Prince of Wales in honor of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The monument is located on Peachtree Street, at Pershing Point, in Midtown Atlanta.
