East Point, Georgia
East Point is a city southwest of the neighborhoods of Atlanta in Fulton County, Georgia, United States. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 33,712. The city is named for being at the opposite end of the former Atlanta & West Point Railroad from West Point, Georgia.
Hapeville, Georgia
Hapeville is a city in Fulton County, Georgia, United States, located directly adjacent to the city of Atlanta. The population was 6,373 at the 2010 census. It is named for Dr. Samuel Hape, one of the area's original landowners and its first mayor.
Flint River (Georgia)
The Flint River is a 344-mile-long river in the U.S. state of Georgia. The river drains 8,460 square miles of western Georgia, flowing south from the upper Piedmont region south of Atlanta to the wetlands of the Gulf Coastal Plain in the southwestern corner of the state. Along with the Apalachicola and the Chattahoochee rivers, it forms part of the ACF basin. In its upper course through the red hills of the Piedmont it is considered especially scenic, flowing unimpeded for over 200 miles .
Fort McPherson
Fort McPherson was a U.S. Army military base located in East Point, Georgia, on the southwest edge of the City of Atlanta, Ga. It was the headquarters for the U.S. Army Installation Management Command, Southeast Region; the U.S. Army Forces Command; the U.S. Army Reserve Command; the U.S. Army Central Command. Named after Major General James Birdseye McPherson, this fort was founded by the U.S. Army in September 1885.

Atlanta Assembly was an automobile factory owned by Ford Motor Company in Hapeville, Georgia. The Atlanta Assembly plant was opened on December 1, 1947. Harbour Consulting rated it as the most efficient auto plant in North America in 2006. As part of The Way Forward plan, the plant was closed on October 27, 2006.

Lakewood / Fort McPherson is an at-grade Rail station on the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. It has an island platform between two tracks. It was opened on December 15, 1984. The set up for this station is like many on the East-West line. The way to get to the platform is like at Oakland City only there is a bridge over the road instead of an underpass.
Oakland City (MARTA station)
Oakland City is an elevated Rail station on the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. It has one island platform between two tracks. It was opened on December 15, 1984. For both entrances to this station, you have to go through the fare gates and an underground passageway to go up to the platform. On the Lee St. entrance (on the west side of station), you go through fare gates, then the passageway goes under the street.

The United States Penitentiary, Atlanta (USP Atlanta) is a medium-security United States federal prison for male inmates in Atlanta, Georgia. It is operated by the Federal Bureau of Prisons, a division of the United States Department of Justice. The facility also has a detention center for pretrial and holdover inmates, and a satellite prison camp for minimum-security male inmates.

688 Club
The 688 Club was a popular alternative music venue in Atlanta, Georgia, located at 688 Spring Street, near the intersection of Spring and 3rd Streets. The 688 Club opened in May 1980 and closed in November 1986. The club was operated by Steve May. The club was co-owned by Tony Evans, John Wicker, and in its final years by Mike Hendry. Cathy Hendrix served as the club's music director.

Perkerson Park
Perkerson Park is a 50-acre park in the Capitol View/Sylvan Hills neighborhoods of Atlanta, Georgia. Originally, the park was the family farm of the Perkerson family. In the 1950s, they donated their land to the City of Atlanta, and the land was turned into a park. Perkerson Park is both an active and a passive park. Amenities include a relatively new playground, a recreation center, tennis courts, basketball courts, ballfields, and a pavilion.
Aaron's Amphitheatre at Lakewood
Aaron's Amphitheatre at Lakewood, located in Atlanta, Georgia, has been one of the premier concert venues in the Southeast since its debut season in 1989. The amphitheatre seats 19,000. (7,000 seats under cover; 12,000 on the huge lawn behind the seating area) It was designed to offer a state-of-the-art musical experience for both music fans and artists. The venue was built specifically for popular music.
Lakewood Stadium
Lakewood Stadium is a 10,000 seat stadium located in the Lakewood Heights neighborhood of Southeast Atlanta, Georgia. The stadium is one of two stadiums owned and managed by the Atlanta Public Schools system, and it is also the largest. The other stadium is Grady Stadium. Lakewood stadium was the first high school stadium in the state of Georgia to have artificial turf. In 2005, the turf was replaced with a brand new synthetic turf called FieldTurf.
Capitol View (Atlanta)
Capitol View is a small community in southwest Atlanta that was named for its excellent view of the Georgia State Capitol building. Its boundaries include Metropolitan Parkway to the east, Lee Street to the west, and the Beltline to the north. On the south, the border follows Arden Street, Deckner Avenue, and Perkerson Park.

Lakewood Speedway
Lakewood Speedway was a race track located south of Atlanta, Georgia, in Lakewood, Georgia, just north of the eastern arm of Langford Parkway (formerly Lakewood Freeway). The track held many kinds of races between 1919 and 1979, including events sanctioned by AAA/USAC, IMCA, and NASCAR. It was a one-mile (1.6 km) dirt track which was located adjacent to Lakewood Fairgrounds.
South Atlanta High School
South Atlanta High School is a public high school located in the southeast corner of Atlanta, Georgia. It is located on the site of former George High School, and it formed as the result of the merger of George and nearby Fulton High School. It has been transformed into a campus of four small schools. As of the 2008-2009 school year, it had an enrollment of approximately 1000 students.

The school opened in 1988 under the leadership of principal Dr. Herschel Robinson. It was originally formed by combining 4 schools: Woodland High School, Russell High School, College Park High School and Hapeville High School. Tri-Cities serves sections of East Point and College Park and all of Hapeville.
South Bend Cemetery
South Bend Cemetery is a cemetery in Atlanta, Georgia near the Federal Penitentiary. The cemetery dates to the 1800s and was maintained by the South Bend Methodist Church, which was located about 6 blocks southwest at 850 Mcwilliams Road. The church disbanded in the 1990s. By 2008 the cemetery was overgrown. A group of volunteers cleared the overgrowth during 2008-2011.
Hapeville High School
Hapeville High School was a high school in Hapeville, Georgia. The school closed in 1988 when it was combined with Woodland High School, College Park High School and Russell High School to form Tri-Cities High School.
