GLG Grand
The GLG Grand building is a 186-meter (609-foot) tall skyscraper in Midtown Atlanta. The Art Deco-inspired, pyramid-capped tower is 53 stories tall and was finished in 1992. The bottom third of it is the Four Seasons Hotel Atlanta, which includes 244 guest rooms and is the only 5-star hotel in Midtown. It is the ninth-tallest skyscraper in Atlanta. This building is remarkable for several reasons.

1180 Peachtree
1180 Peachtree, commonly known as the Symphony Tower, is a 41-story skyscraper located at 1180 Peachtree Street in the Midtown district of Atlanta, Georgia, United States. Rising to a height of approximately 657 feet (200 m), the building includes office and retail space in its 351,616 square meter of floor area as well as a 1,200 space parking deck. Construction was completed in 2006.
Cotton States and International Exposition
The 1895 Cotton States and International Exposition was held at the current Piedmont Park in Atlanta, Georgia. Nearly 800,000 visitors attended the event. The exposition was designed to promote the region to the world and showcase products and new technologies as well as to encourage trade with Latin America. The Cotton States and International Exposition featured exhibits from several states including various innovations in agriculture and technology.
Alliance Theatre
The Alliance Theatre is a theater company in Atlanta, Georgia, based at the Alliance Theatre, part of the Robert W. Woodruff Arts Center, and is the winner of the 2007 Regional Theatre Tony Award. The company, originally the Atlanta Municipal Theatre, staged its first production at the Alliance in 1968. The following year the company became the Alliance Theatre Company.
Piedmont Driving Club
The Piedmont Driving Club is a private social club with two club houses in Atlanta, Georgia. It has enjoyed a reputation as one of the most prestigious private clubs in the South. Founded in 1887 originally as the Gentlemen's Driving Club, the name reflected the interest of the members to "drive" their horse & carriages on the club grounds. The club later briefly used the adjacent grounds as a golf course until it sold the land to the city in 1904 to create Piedmont Park.
Atlantic Center Plaza
Atlantic Center Plaza is a 24-floor office highrise located at 1180 West Peachtree Street in Atlanta Georgia, across the street from the One Atlantic Center. The plaza was completed in 2001. One Atlantic Center and Atlantic Center Plaza are connected by an underground tunnel that runs beneath West Peachtree Street. Atlantic Center Plaza bears a striking resemblance to One Atlantic Center, although the former is only approximately half the height of the latter.
Arts Center (MARTA station)
The Arts Center Station is an underground metro station on the Red and Gold lines of the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA) rail system. The Arts Center Station has four levels: the platform level, the mezzanine level with fare gates facing onto West Peachtree Street, bus bays for bus feeder routes, and the upper level which is located across the street from the Woodruff Arts Center.
Atlanta Symphony Hall
Atlanta Symphony Hall is the home venue of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. It is located within the Woodruff Arts Center at 1280 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. The venue has a total capacity of 1,762 seats on three levels: 1,074 in the orchestra section, 349 in the lower balcony and 339 in the upper balcony. There are also spaces for 12 wheelchairs and 12 companion seats, as well as room for 82 additional seats in the orchestra pit, depending on the stage set-up.
Hebrew Benevolent Congregation Temple bombing
The Hebrew Benevolent Congregation Temple, a Reform Jewish temple located on Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia, and known simply as "The Temple," was bombed in the early morning hours of October 12, 1958. An explosion of approximately fifty sticks of dynamite tore through the side wall of the building. The synagogue was one of Atlanta's oldest and wealthiest. No one was injured in the bombing. Those who heard the blast reported a "loud explosion" to police and newspapers.
Louvre Atlanta
Louvre Atlanta is an art collaboration showing exhibits from the Louvre in Paris at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta from October 2006 to 2009. The High museum is holding related programs including lectures and art-making workshops. Three major sponsors include Coca-Cola, Delta Air Lines, and United Parcel Service, all based in or immediately outside of Atlanta. The total budget for Louvre Atlanta is estimated at $18 million.
Center for Puppetry Arts
The Center for Puppetry Arts, located in Atlanta, is the nation’s largest organization dedicated to the art form of puppetry. The Center focuses on three areas: performance, education and museum. It is one of the few puppet museums in the world. The Center is located in Midtown, the city's arts district. It was founded in 1978 by Vincent Anthony.
Arthritis Foundation
The Arthritis Foundation is the largest national nonprofit organization solely dedicated to the prevention, control and cure of arthritis, the leading cause of disability in the United States. More than 100 different types of arthritis and related conditions rob 50 million (one in every five) adults and 300,000 children of living life to its fullest.
Turner Broadcasting tower
The Turner Broadcasting tower, built in 1967, was a 314.3-meter free-standing lattice tower in Atlanta, Georgia. It was located next to the Downtown Connector between Spring, West Peachtree, 10th and 12th Streets in Midtown. It had a triangular cross-section, and was built on the site of a previous square broadcast tower built for WAGA-TV 5.
1280 West
1280 West is a 410ft (125m) tall skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia. It was completed in 1989 and has 38 floors. It is tied with Peachtree Summit as the 29th tallest building in Atlanta, and has 434 units.
Mandarin Oriental Atlanta
The Mandarin Oriental Atlanta is a future luxury condominium and hotel planned for Midtown Atlanta. First reported in the Atlanta Business Chronicle in March 2007, it was formally announced in November 2008, as a partnership between Mandarin Oriental and Tivoli Properties. Scheduled to begin construction in 2009 and open in late 2011, it will be a 53-story skyscraper at 1138 Peachtree Street, along a section known as the "Midtown Mile".
1010 Midtown
1010 Midtown is a 35-story, 124 m skyscraper in Atlanta, Georgia featuring 425 condominiums atop 38,000 sq ft of retail and dining space. The structure is part of the 12th & Midtown development, situated on approximately 2 acres on the block between 11th and 12th streets in Midtown Atlanta, the front of which follows the curve of Peachtree Street. The 1010 Midtown building also features a park-in-the-sky, which will be one of the largest environmentally green rooftops in the city.

The Museum of Design Atlanta (MODA) is a design museum located at 1315 Peachtree Street in Atlanta, Georgia, USA. MODA is the only museum in the Southeast devoted exclusively to the study and celebration of all things design.
Colony Square
Colony Square is a mixed-use development and sub-district in Midtown Atlanta, Georgia, located on Peachtree Street in between 14th and 15th Streets. The sub-district, which originated as the first mixed-use development in the Southeast, was built between 1969 and 1975 in modernist style. Colony Square comprises three skyscrapers, two containing offices (Colony Square 100 and Colony Square 400) and one housing a hotel, W Atlanta-Midtown.
World Athletes Monument
The World Athletes Monument, more commonly known as the Prince Charles Monument or Prince of Wales Monument, is a monument located in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. The monument, dedicated to the 1996 Summer Olympics, is a gift from HRH the Prince of Wales in honor of the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games. The monument is located on Peachtree Street, at Pershing Point, in Midtown Atlanta.
12th & Midtown
12th and Midtown is a four-block commercial real estate development project in Midtown Atlanta along Peachtree Street and Crescent Avenue between 11th and 13th Streets. The development currently contains three of the tallest buildings in Midtown, with more buildings planned in the coming years. Ground was broken in 2006. The developer, Selig, had an original plan for nine towers and 3,000,000 square feet of residential and commercial space.
