Clarkston is a city in DeKalb County, Georgia, United States. The population was 7,554 at the 2010 census. The city is home to the central campus of Georgia Perimeter College. The city is noted for its ethnic diversity. In the 1990s refugee resettlement programs identified Clarkston as a good fit for displaced persons of many different backgrounds.

WATB is an Atlanta area AM broadcasting station licensed to Decatur, Georgia. It is owned by Way Broadcasting Licensee, LLC. It broadcasts a diverse mixture of brokered multi-ethnic programming. WATB broadcasts at a frequency of 1420 kHz with 1,000 watts of power during the daytime, and 51 watts at night with both situations using a directional signal pattern. The radio station is considered a Class D AM broadcast station by the Federal Communications Commission.

Stone Mountain High School is a college preparatory and public high school located in Stone Mountain, Georgia. It is one of the oldest high schools in the DeKalb County School System. The last principal was Carolyn D. Williams. She is transferring to Southwest Dekalb High School. The current principal is Dr. James H. Jones. He is transferring from McNair High School. He has been educating for 33 years. He has also worked at Stevenson High School, Clarkston High School, etc.
James R. Hallford Stadium
James R. Hallford Stadium is a football stadium in Clarkston, Georgia. It was the home stadium of Georgia Generals of the American Soccer League and Atlanta Silverbacks of the A-League until they moved to the RE/MAX Greater Atlanta Stadium in 2004. The stadium holds 15,000 spectators and is currently used by two DeKalb County high schools.
