Garden City, Georgia

Garden City is a city in Chatham County, Georgia, United States. It lies along the Savannah River just northwest of Savannah. As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 8,778. Parts industrial and residential, the city is home to much of the heavy industry in Chatham County and also hosts the Port of Savannah, the flagship operation of the Georgia Ports Authority. Garden City is part of the Savannah Metropolitan Statistical Area.

WRHQ

WRHQ (Quality Rock Q105.3) is a gold-based rock adult contemporary radio station based in Savannah, Georgia. It remains a popular station despite competition from similar stations such as WIXV-FM and WGZO-FM. The station has a fairly broad playlist, leaning heavily on such musicians as James Taylor, R.E.M. , and Billy Joel. WRHQ is the only radio station in Savannah that is locally owned and operated.

Savannah Dragway

Savannah Dragway was an eighth-mile (200 m) dragstrip used by the NHRA located near in Savannah, Georgia. The track opened as a quarter-mile (400 m) facility in 1968, but safety concerns and rising insurance costs caused it to convert to the smaller distance in the mid-1980s. They were forced to close down at the end of 2005, this was because a neighbour filed many noise complaints and also because their lease expired.

Savannah (Amtrak station)

The Savannah Amtrak station is an Amtrak station in Savannah, Georgia. The station was built in 1962 to replace the older Savannah Union Station. Located at 2611 Seaboard Coastline Drive, the station consists of a terminal building on the east side of the north-south tracks, with a platform between the tracks.
