Christmas, Florida

Christmas is a census-designated place and an unincorporated area in Orange County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Orlando–Kissimmee Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,146 at the 2010 census. Christmas is home to the world's largest alligator-shaped building, measuring at just over 200 feet and to Fort Christmas Historical Park, a recreation of the Second Seminole War Fort Christmas.

WRDQ

WRDQ is an Independent television station in Orlando, Florida. It broadcasts a high definition digital signal on UHF channel 27 from a transmitter in Christmas. Owned by Cox Media Group, the station is sister to ABC affiliate WFTV. The two share studios on East South Street in downtown Orlando. The station can be considered an alternate ABC affiliate. As such, it occasionally airs ABC programs whenever WFTV may not be able to do so as in a news-related emergency or a local sporting event.

WWKA is the callsign of K92-3, a Country radio station in Orlando, Florida. The station is owned by Cox Radio, and has had a country format since 1982. Previous owners include The Outlet Company and New City Communications. The station was originally WDBO-FM, affiliated with WDBO AM 580 and CBS-affiliated WDBO-TV channel 6, at the time owned by The Outlet Company. In 1983, WDBO-FM and WDBO-AM were sold to Katz Broadcasting when Outlet decided to leave radio.

Fort Christmas

Fort Christmas was built in present day Christmas, Florida during the Second Seminole War. Construction began on December 25, 1837, with the arrival of 2,000 U.S. Army Soldiers and Alabama volunteers.
