Vanguard High School

Vanguard High School is one of eight high schools in Marion County, Florida. The school serves the northeast area of Ocala, Florida. Vanguard offers the International Baccalaureate program for students, which accepts pupils from outside districts and makes up about 25% of the student population. Vanguard's mascot is a Knight and the school colors are red, white, and blue. One notable alumnus is NFL football player Daunte Culpepper.

Eighth Street Elementary School

Eighth Street Elementary School is an elementary school in Ocala, Florida. The school is located at the corner of Eighth Street and Tuscawilla Avenue in Southeast Ocala, near the residential Ocala Historic District. The building was designed by Lee Roy Sheftall and built by F.W. Long & Co. in 1914. The school first opened as Ocala High School. Ocala High School moved to a larger facility next door in 1925.
