McKee Botanical Garden

The McKee Botanical Garden 18 acres (7.3 hectares) is a non-profit, subtropical botanical garden in Vero Beach, Florida. It is located at 350 U.S. Highway 1, Vero Beach, Florida. It was founded in 1929, when Waldo Sexton and Arthur G. McKee purchased an 80-acre tropical hammock along the Indian River. Tropical landscape architect William Lyman Phillips was hired to design its streams, ponds, and trails.

WPHR-FM (94.7 FM, "Rush Radio 94.7") is an American radio station licensed in Gifford, Florida, serving the Vero Beach / Fort Pierce market. The station, owned and operated by the Aloha Stations Trust, airs talk shows. On January 25, 2008, it was announced that the station, then licensed as WSYR-FM, was one of several Clear Channel radio stations to be sold, in order to remain under the ownership caps following the sale of Clear Channel to private investors.

It is separated from the mainland by the Indian River Lagoon. North of the county line between St Lucie and Indian River counties, it is known as Orchid Island. First settled around 1883, Oslo is a community in southeastern Indian River County, Florida, United States. It is part of the Sebastian–Vero Beach Metropolitan Statistical Area. The town of Oslo, as it was once called was first established by the some of Indian River County's first pioneers, which included the Helseth, Gifford, and Hallstrom families. The area was given the name Oslo by the Helseth family, and was named after the Norwegian capital city.

The Alma Lee Loy Bridge (also called the 17th Street Bridge) is a fixed concrete arch bridge that spans the Indian River intracoastal waterway in Indian River County, Florida. The bridge, started in 1977, was constructed by Gulf Contracting Inc, FL and was completed in 1979. The Florida Department of Transportation bridge number is 880077. The bridge has a total of four motor vehicle lanes and two bicycle lanes. The vertical clearance is 65 ft .
