Plant City, Florida
Plant City is a city in Hillsborough County, Florida, in the United States, approximately midway between Brandon and Lakeland along Interstate 4. The population was 34,721 at the 2010 census. Many people believe it was named for the flora grown at plant nurseries in its tropical Gulf Coast climate. However, it was actually named after prominent railroad developer, Henry B. Plant.

The Plant City High School is a historic public high school in Plant City, Florida, United States. It was built in 1914 on a design by Tampa based architect Willis R. Biggers at 605 North Collins Street. The original building is now a community center and a new school building completed in 1972 on Maki Road, later designated with the address of 1 Raider Place. Hillsborough Community College (HCC) is a two-year community college, located in Hillsborough County, Florida. The college has six campuses located throughout the county. The ballpark has a capacity of 6,000 people and opened in 1988. In 2013, it will be the home for the VSI Tampa Bay FC soccer team in USL Pro.
