Eau Gallie, Florida
Eau Gallie (pronounced "Oh Galley")was a city in Brevard County, Florida from 1857 until 1969 when citizens voted to merge with neighboring Melbourne, Florida. It is now a small district in the north part of the city, near the Eau Gallie Causeway. William Henry Gleason founded the city. From 1874 to 1878 it served as the county seat of Brevard County, Florida. In French, Eau Gallie means "rocky water," named for the coquina rocks along the shore of the Indian River Lagoon.
Eau Gallie Causeway
The Eau Gallie Causeway connects Eau Gallie, Florida (which merged with Melbourne in 1969), with SR A1A near Indian Harbour Beach, across the Indian River Lagoon. Located entirely within the Melbourne city limits, the causeway consists of a main bridge crossing over the Intracoastal Waterway and a relief bridge. The bridge is a key link in SR 518, Eau Gallie Boulevard, of which the causeway is a part.

Eau Gallie High School is located at 1400 Commodore Blvd in the Eau Gallie area of Melbourne, Florida. It is one of four public high schools in Melbourne, along with Melbourne High School, Palm Bay High School, and West Shore Junior/Senior High School. In sports the school was previously classified as 6A, the largest classification based on enrollment, but it is now 3A. In 2010, the school graduated 384.
Mathers Bridge
Mathers Bridge is located on the southern tip of Merritt Island, Florida at the end of State Road 3/County Route 3. The bridge was built in 1927 by John Mathers to connect Merritt Island to what is now Indian Harbour Beach. It is a 700 feet long (200 meters) low level swing span drawbridge. The bridge and the control house were rehabilitated in 2005.

Tropic is an unincorporated area in Brevard County, Florida, United States. It is the southernmost area on Merritt Island, and its identity was absorbed into the census-designated place of Merritt Island during the Space Age of the 1950s and '60s. This portion of Merritt Island is served by Brevard County Road 3 (South Tropical Trail) and the Mather's Bridge.

The Roesch House is a historic U.S. home located at 1320 Highland Avenue, Melbourne, Florida. The house is owned by The Rossetter House Foundation, Inc. , managed by the Florida Historical Society, and part of the Historic Rossetter House Museum. The house was owned by William Roesch, the first mayor of Eau Gallie, Florida.
Ballard Park (Melbourne, Florida)
Ballard Park is a public park located at 924 Thomas Barbour Drive, Melbourne, Florida and is situated on the Indian River Lagoon and the Eau Gallie River. It contains diverse recreational facilities and amenities, including boat ramps, lighted tennis courts and a pavilion. The park also contains a memorial to naturalist and author Thomas Barbour, who frequented the shell mounds on the park grounds as a boy.

The Eau Gallie Public Library was founded in 1898, making it “the second oldest library in Brevard County”, Florida, United States. The founders initially established the library in the Eau Gallie Post Office. The library was moved to several different locations over the years, including the city hall, the civic center and a restaurant In 1962, the library was moved to its current location at 1521 Pineapple Avenue in Eau Gallie, where a new building was constructed in 1998.
