New Castle County is the northernmost of the three counties of the U.S. state of Delaware. As of the 2010 census, its population was 538,479, an increase of 7.6% over the previous decade. The county seat is Wilmington. The center of population of Delaware is located in New Castle County, in the town of Townsend. It is the most affluent of the three counties in the state of Delaware. St. Georges Bridge (Delaware)

The St. Georges Bridge is a steel truss bridge with a tied arch span that carries U.S. Route 13 across the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal in St. Georges, Delaware. Built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and opened in 1942 as a high-level crossing, the bridge was the first four-lane, high-level crossing to span the canal. It replaced a previous vertical lift bridge which was damaged when a German merchant ship collided with it.

Mason-Dixon Trail

The Mason Dixon Trail is a 193-mile, blue-blazed footpath that connects the Appalachian Trail with the Brandywine Trail, passing through Gifford Pinchot State Park and White Clay Creek Preserve in Pennsylvania and White Clay Creek State Park in Delaware. The trail starts near Mount Holly Springs at Whiskey Springs on the Appalachian Trail, in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. It then heads east towards the Susquehanna River, passing through Gifford Pinchot State Park.

Delaware City Refinery

The Delaware City Refinery, currently owned by Delaware City Refining Corporation, a subsidiary of PBF Energy, is an oil refinery in Delaware City, Delaware. When operational it has a total throughput capacity of 210,000 barrels per day, and employs around 570 individuals. The refinery was commissioned in 1956 and Getty Oil operated it up until 1984, when Texaco bought Getty.
