Bob Carpenter Center is a 5,000-seat multi-purpose arena, in Newark, Delaware, named in honor of benefactor and trustee, R. R. M. Carpenter, Jr. (1915–1990). Students at the University of Delaware have nicknamed it "The Bob. " The arena opened in 1992 and facility was designed by HOK Sport, who have been involved in more than 150 sports and recreation projects. The construction of the building cost $20.5 million.

Delaware Field House
The Delaware Field House is an indoor athletics facility on the campus of the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. Constructed in 1966, the venue seats 4,000 fans for indoor track and tennis events. It served as the site of intercollegiate basketball games as well until the completion of the Bob Carpenter Center in mid-1992.

The Mascot Hall of Fame is a hall of fame for United States sports mascots. It was founded by David Raymond, who was the original Phillie Phanatic from 1978 to 1993. Curtis Paper Mill
The Curtis Paper Mill (also known as the Nonantum Mill) was a factory located near White Clay Creek in Newark, Delaware. Although a mill had existed on the site since the late eighteenth century, the final structure was built in 1870. The Curtis brothers bought the plant in 1848. Although the plant is usually referred to in Newark as the Curtis Paper Mill, the actual name is Nonantum Mill, referring to an Indian name for the area of Newton, Massachusetts, the Curtises' hometown.
Bob Hannah Stadium
Bob Hannah Stadium is a baseball stadium located at the University of Delaware in Newark, Delaware. It plays host to the Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens baseball team. The stadium's namesake, Bob Hannah, retired as head coach in 2000. The stadium seats 1,300 people for baseball. Features of the stadium include an enclosed press box, an outdoor batting cage, and banners on the outfield fence signifying Delaware's numerous conference titles and NCAA appearances.

WNWK
WNWK (1260 AM, "Sabrosa 1260") was a radio station broadcasting in Spanish in Newark, Delaware. The station was owned by Jose Roberto Ekonomo and Aida Esperanza Ekonomo, according to the FCC records. The station was originally licensed as WNRK in the 1960s. In the 1980s, it had an adult contemporary format with an emphasis on sports. After 2000 the station changed formats and call signs frequently, operating at various times as WAMS, WNWK and WRJJ.
Battle of Cooch's Bridge
The Battle of Cooch's Bridge, also known as the Battle of Iron Hill, was a skirmish fought on September 3, 1777, between American militia and primarily German soldiers serving alongside the British Army during the American Revolutionary War. It was the only significant military action during the war in the state of Delaware, and took place about a week before the major Battle of Brandywine.

The Fred Rust Ice Arena or University of Delaware Ice Arena multi-purpose arena on the campus of The University of Delaware located in Newark, Delaware. The Facility houses two ice sheets the main ice arena, the Fred Rust Ice Arena, is a 2,500-seat regulation Olympic sized ice arena on the UD campus. The Fred Rust Ice Arena was built in 1988 and houses the Olympic-sized ice area, a VIP lounge, a pro shop, locker rooms, weight and fitness facility, and a concession area.

The Delaware Geological Survey (DGS) is a scientific agency for the State of Delaware, located at the University of Delaware (UD), that conducts geologic and hydrologic research, service, and exploration. The mission of the DGS is to provide objective earth science information, advice, and service to citizens, policy makers, industries, and educational institutions of Delaware. The DGS became formally affiliated with the university's College of Earth, Ocean, and Environment (CEOE) in July 2008.
