South Woodstock
South Woodstock is a census-designated place (CDP) in Woodstock, Windham County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 1,211 at the 2000 census. It is notable as the former home of the now-defunct Annhurst College.
Annhurst College
Annhurst College was a private Catholic college in South Woodstock, Connecticut. The college's curriculum was career-focused. It was founded by Mother Louis du Sacré-Coeur, D.H.S. , the Provincial of the American Province of the Daughters of the Holy Spirit in 1940 as an all women's college. The college was officially dedicated on September 23, 1941 as Ker-Anna Junior College and changed its name two years later.
