Connecticut College
Connecticut College (Conn College or Conn) is a private liberal arts college located in New London, in the U.S. state of Connecticut. The college was founded in 1911, as Connecticut College for Women, in response to Wesleyan University closing its doors to women (the college changed its name to Connecticut College in 1969 when it began admitting men). The campus is located on the Thames River, overlooking the Long Island Sound on the highest point in New London.

Lyman Allyn Art Museum
The Lyman Allyn Art Museum was founded in 1932 by Harriet Upson Allyn. This museum houses the most significant art collection in Southeastern Connecticut, including European and non-Western art as well as American fine and decorative art. Key strengths include 17th-century European works on paper, 19th-century American paintings, and contemporary art. The museum also includes educational programs for audiences ranging from pre-preschoolers to senior citizens.
Submarine Force Library and Museum
The U.S. Navy Submarine Force Library and Museum, located on the Thames River near Groton, Connecticut, USA, is the only submarine museum managed exclusively by the U.S. Navy, which makes it a repository for many special submarine items of national significance, including USS Nautilus (SSN-571). Visitors may take a 30-minute self-guided audio tour of the submarine. In a 2009 visit to the museum, a writer for Connecticut magazine found several veterans of the U.S.

Olin Observatory
