Groton Long Point
Groton Long Point (GLP) is a political subdivision of the town of Groton, on Long Island Sound in New London County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 667 at the 2000 census. Used mostly by families as a summer resort, life in Groton Long Point is very different depending on the season. The area is administered by the Groton Long Point Association (GLPA), which was established by an act of the Connecticut Legislature in 1921.
Noank, Connecticut
Noank is a village and census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Groton in New London County, Connecticut, United States. The population was 1,796 at the 2010 census. The original settlement in Noank along Elm Street and east of it towards Morgan Point is listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places.
