Stratford Army Engine Plant

The Stratford Army Engine Plant (SAEP) was a U.S. Army Tank-Automotive and Armaments Command installation and manufacturing facility located in Stratford, Connecticut, where it was sited along the Housatonic River and Main Street, opposite Sikorsky Airport. The plant was originally built in 1929 as Sikorsky Aero Engineering Corporations's manufacturing facility.

The Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point is a nature center and bird sanctuary in Milford, Connecticut, established in 1995. Over 300 different species of bird have been observed at this location. The Coastal Center is located on an 8.4-acre barrier beach—the Smith-Hubbell Wildlife Refuge & Bird Sanctuary—and is situated next to the 840-acre Charles Wheeler Salt Marsh and Wildlife Management Area at the mouth of the Housatonic River.

Washington Bridge (Connecticut)

The Washington Bridge carries U.S. Route 1 over the Housatonic River in the U.S. state of Connecticut, connecting the city of Milford to the town of Stratford. Its geographic location is N 41.20037 by W −73.11039. It is considered architecturally notable by the National Register of Historic Places for its five 100-foot-long arches. The island is currently a set of three islets due to erosion running north-south very near the Stratford bank of the river. Duck Island is the one of two islands owned by Milford, Connecticut at the mouth of the Housatonic River. It is approximately 100 feet from the end of Milford Point Road, near the Connecticut Audubon Society Coastal Center at Milford Point. The island is uninhabited and is designated as a Department of Environmental Protection Natural Area Preserve, though people may visit the island outside of bird nesting season. The maximum elevation on the island is ~16 feet . It is only accessible by boat.
