Francis T. Maloney High School is a public school located in Meriden, Connecticut. The school's mascot is the Spartan and the school colors are green and white. The school's principal is Ann Hushin. The school's boys basketball team won the Class L CIAC championship against Lyman Hall of Wallingford on March 15, 2008. This was the first boys' basketball state title for Maloney. Maloney High School is the home of the Spartan Marching Band, which is the largest musical group in the city.
Smith Park
Smith Park is a park in Middletown, Connecticut, USA, which was acquired by the town in 1974. It is located on the north side of Country Club Road in Middletown. It has 50 acres of land that include ball fields, a playground, hiking trails, horseshoe pits, shuffleboards, and a pavilion. Permission can be obtained from the Middletown Park and Recreation Commission to host a family outing or company picnic at the pavilion, though handicapped access is limited.
