South Windsor High School
South Windsor High School is located in South Windsor, Connecticut. It currently serves grades 9-12 with approximately 1,700 students. It is the only high school in South Windsor, but also admits students from Hartford through the Open Choice Program. The school offers a variety of courses spanning departments such as mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, foreign languages, music, art, and technology.
The Shoppes at Buckland Hills
The Shoppes at Buckland Hills, formerly known as Buckland Hills Mall and The Pavilions at Buckland Hills, is a shopping mall located in Manchester, Connecticut. The mall opened in March 1990 as "The Pavilions at Buckland Hills". The area of land was purchased from the Red Rock Golf Course. The I-84 corridor encompassing the towns of Manchester and(eventually) South Windsor began a transformation that continues today.
The Hilliard Mills
The Hilliard Mills complex is located at 642 Hilliard Street in Manchester, Connecticut, west of Adams Street. This historic mill site currently consists of six buildings, roughly 104,000 square feet of space on over five acres of land at the confluence of the Bigelow Brook and Hockanum River. The site is listed on the State of Connecticut List of Historic Places.
