Hockanum (East Hartford)

Hockanum is a neighborhood in southwest East Hartford, Connecticut. The area is named after the Hockanum River, and has an elementary school of the same name. William H. Putnam Memorial Bridge

The Putnam Bridge is a bridge in the state of Connecticut carrying the Route 3 Expressway over the Connecticut River, connecting Interstate 91 in Wethersfield and Route 2 in Glastonbury. It is the southernmost crossing of the Connecticut River in the Hartford Area and carries an average of 50,800 vehicles per day. The bridge was originally to be a double-decker as part of a planned Interstate 491, a southeastern bypass around Hartford from Wethersfield to East Hartford.

East Hartford High School

East Hartford High School is the public high school of East Hartford, Connecticut, along with its next-door neighbor, Connecticut International Baccalaureate Academy (CIBA), a college-preparatory high school for grades 9-12. East Hartford High is notably diverse for a suburban school, having a 34% black, 33% white, 28% Hispanic and 5% Asian student population. Its enrollment is roughly 2,200 students. The school offers several AP courses and is recognized nationally for its activities program.

Academy School, Glastonbury

Academy School is a former school complex located in Glastonbury, Connecticut, USA. It was discontinued for school use in 2001 with the opening of the Smith Middle School and renovation of the Gideon Welles School. From 1974–2001, Academy School was the town's sixth-grade school, although it housed some fifth-grade students as well for many years. Among many other uses, Academy also served as the Glastonbury High School from 1923–1952.

Connecticut International Baccalaureate Academy

Connecticut International Baccalaureate Academy (CIBA) is a magnet school located in East Hartford, Connecticut right next door to East Hartford High School connected by a bridge. The school has three academic levels: college-preparatory, honors, and AP levels. Z Rink

The Z Rink was an indoor roller hockey facility located in Glastonbury, Connecticut, in the United States. It was the home arena of the Connecticut Blaze of the PIHA and Hartford Fire Ants of the AIHL. The rink announced it would close at the end of November 2012, after the building was sold.
