Avon Old Farms

Avon Old Farms is a single-sex boarding school for boys located in Avon, Connecticut. It was founded by Theodate Pope Riddle. It opened in 1927 and closed for a period during World War II to serve as a convalescent hospital for blind veterans. The current headmaster is Mr. Kenneth H. LaRocque, a Phillips Exeter Academy and Harvard University graduate.

WRDM's programming is simulcast on WDMR-LD, channel 51, in Springfield, Massachusetts. It is available on Comcast channel 13 and Cox channel 20 but not on any satellite providers. Avon High School is a high school in Avon, Connecticut, United States serving grades 9–12. As one of the 5 schools in the Avon Public School system, its only feeder school is Avon Middle School. The student population is about 1200, but projections see huge increases for future enrollment. Because of this, the school has undergone extensive renovations. Beginning with the 2007–2008 school year, the principal is Jason Beaudin.
