Kayak for a Cause
Kayak for a Cause is a non-profit kayaking fundraiser that takes place annually on Long Island Sound on the eastern coast of the United States. A group of several-hundred kayakers cross the Sound from Norwalk, Connecticut to the north shore of Long Island and return as they raise money for local and national charities. The current route for the crossing is 12.5 miles long and leaves from Calf Pasture Beach in East Norwalk, Connecticut and lands in Crab Meadow Park in Northport, New York.

Mill Hill Historic Park in Norwalk, Connecticut is a living history museum composed of three buildings: the circa 1740 Governor Thomas Fitch IV "law office", the circa 1826 Downtown District Schoolhouse, and the 1835 Norwalk Town Hall; as well as a historic cemetery. The museum is also known as the Mill Hill Historical Complex in some references and the sign at the parking lot reads Norwalk Mill Hill Museum.

Battle of Norwalk
The Battle of Norwalk (also Battle of West Rocks or Battle of the Rocks) was a series of skirmishes between American and British forces during the American Revolutionary War. The attack was one part of a series of raids on coastal Connecticut towns collectively known as Tryon's raid. The main battle was fought in Norwalk, Connecticut on July 12, 1779. British forces under General William Tryon arrived on July 10, 1779. They marched in a two pronged attack on either side of the Norwalk River.
