Live Oak is an incorporated city in Sutter County, California, United States. It is part of the Yuba City Metropolitan Statistical Area within the Greater Sacramento CSA, and includes a hamlet historically named Stafford. The population was 8,392 at the 2010 census.
Chandon, California
Chandon is a ghost town in Butte County, California, United States. It was located 2 miles south-southeast of Gridley on the Northern Electric Railroad, at an elevation of 89 feet (27 m). Chandon still appeared on maps as of 1912. The place was named for the landowner.
Sunset, California
Sunset (also, Old Sunset) is a former settlement in Kern County, California. It was located on the Sunset Railroad 2.5 miles east of Hazelton. The name Sunset was bestowed by Judge Lovejoy because of the beautiful sunsets there.
Rancho Boga
Rancho Boga was a 22,185-acre Mexican land grant in present day Butte County and Sutter County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Charles William Flügge. The grant extended south from present day Gridley along the west bank of the Feather River across from fellow German, Theodore Cordua's Rancho Honcut, and encompassed present day Live Oak.
