Chumash Peak
Chumash Peak is a 1,257 ft hill in San Luis Obispo, California. The peak is the sixth in a series of volcanic plugs known as the Nine Sisters. In 1964 the hill was named in recognition of the Chumash Indians who lived in the area due to efforts by Louisiana Dart, curator of the San Luis Obispo County Museum. Access to the peak is currently unavailable. The peak was recently quarried for the foundations of new Cuesta College buildings.

It is home to the Cal Poly Mustangs baseball team, a member of the Division I Big West Conference. The stadium opened on January 21, 2001, with the Mustangs defeating #1 ranked Stanford 6-5 in 12 innings. The stadium has a capacity of 1,534 and is part of a 47-acre facility which is also home to the Mustangs softball team.

Potrero means "pasture" in Spanish. The grant was north of present day San Luis Obispo, and encompassed Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
