Oceanside is a coastal city located on California's South Coast. It is the third-largest city in San Diego County, California. The city had a population of 183,095 at the 2010 census. Together with Carlsbad and Vista, it forms a tri-city area. Oceanside is located just south of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

Guajome Park Academy, commonly referred to as Guajome or GPA, is a middle school and high school in Vista, California. It is a charter school and was founded in 1994. It offers the IB Middle Years Programme for students grades six through ten, and the IB Diploma Programme for eleventh- and twelfth-graders. During the 2004-2005 school year, 1,238 students were enrolled: 530 in the middle school and 708 in the high school. The school is named after nearby Guajome County Park.

The Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum (AGSEM) is a living-history museum founded in 1969 located on 55 acres of county-owned land on the outskirts of Vista, California. The Museum is a non-profit 501c(3) organization. It is located at 2040 N Santa Fe Ave. in Vista. It is run on a nearly all-volunteer basis, along with two museum employees. The museum is open almost every day of the year and has two bi-annual shows, on the 3rd and 4th weekends of June and October.

Alta Vista Botanical gardens is located in San Diego County, CA, in the City of Vista at 1270 Vale Terrace Drive. Its mission is to ‘Bring Together People, Nature and Art'. Rancho Agua Hedionda
Rancho Agua Hedionda was a 13,311-acre Mexican land grant in present day San Diego County, California given in 1842 by Governor Juan Alvarado to Juan María Marrón. The name means "stinking water" in Spanish. The grant extended south along the Pacific Coast from present day Carlsbad to Leucadia. The grant surrounded Agua Hedionda Lagoon.
Rancho Buena Vista (Felipe)
Rancho Buena Vista was a 2,288-acre Mexican land grant in present day San Diego County, California given in 1845 by Governor Pío Pico to Felipe, an Indian. The name means "good view" in Spanish. The grant was south of San Luis Rey River and Rancho Monserate and encompassed present day Vista.
Buena Creek (NCTD station)
Buena Creek is a station in Vista, California that is served by North County Transit District's SPRINTER light rail line. The station is located at 1923 Buena Creek Road. Although its mailing address lists Vista as the city, it is the only station along the entire line to be situated in an unincorporated portion of San Diego County.
Civic Center Drive (NCTD station)
Civic Center Drive is a station in Vista, California that is served by North County Transit District's SPRINTER light rail line. The station is located at 810 Phillips Street. Although the Sprinter began service in March 2008, the eastbound platform of the station remained closed for several months due to construction to improve its platform. It finally opened in September of the same year.

The Descanso, Alpine and Pacific Railway is a 2-ft. gauge heritage railroad located in Alpine, California. This little operation is a sole proprietorship and has one locomotive, a 1935 Brookville Equipment Corporation unit. The railroad has three stations; Shade, El Pozo and High Pass. The railway offers free train rides and historical narration to the public on most Sundays.
Cuyamaca Outdoor School
The Cuyamaca Outdoor School is an outdoor school and overnight camp owned by San Diego County Office of Education and located in the Cuyamaca Rancho State Park and Cleveland National Forest in Descanso, California. During the school year students, generally 6th graders, come to learn subjects related to outdoor education, staying between four and five days. On campus there are several dormitory facilities, a dining hall, multipurpose room, activity building and infirmary.
