Gold River, California
Gold River is a census-designated place (CDP) in Sacramento County, California. The population was 7,812 at the 2010 census, down from 8,023 at the 2000 census. Gold River is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The community of Gold River consists of a residential planned development and some smaller subdivisions served by Gold River Discovery Center (a K through 8 school), as well as some retail, commercial and light industrial areas.
Lake Natoma
Lake Natoma is an intermediate lake along the American River, located between Folsom Dam and Nimbus Dam in Sacramento County, in the U.S. state of California. The lake is located within the Folsom Lake State Recreation Area. It is a recreational lake for rowing, kayaking and swimming. Powerboats are permitted with a 5 mph "no wake" restriction. Lake Natoma is also home to the Sacramento State Aquatic Center, and regularly hosts West Coast College Rowing Championships.
Nimbus Dam
The Nimbus Dam is a base load hydroelectric dam on the American River near Folsom, California. Approximately 8,700 acre feet of water is retained by the dam. It is responsible for the impoundment of water from the American River to create the Lake Natoma reservoir. As part of the Central Valley Project (CVP), a federal water project that provides irrigation and municipal water to much of California's Central Valley, it was authorized in 1949 as a regulating reservoir for Folsom Dam.

Hazel is a side platformed Sacramento RT light rail station in Gold River, California, United States. The station was opened on October 15, 2005, and is operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District. As part of the Gold Line, it has service to Downtown Sacramento, California State University, Sacramento, Rancho Cordova and Folsom. The station is located on Folsom Boulevard at Rocket Circle, two blocks east of Hazel Avenue.
Iron Point (Sacramento RT)
Iron Point is a side platformed Sacramento RT light rail station in Folsom, California, United States. The station was opened on October 15, 2005, and is operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District. As part of the Gold Line, it has service to Downtown Sacramento, California State University, Sacramento, Rancho Cordova and Gold River. The station is located near the intersection of Iron Point Road and Folsom Boulevard and serves the Folsom Premium Outlet shopping center.

The station was opened on October 15, 2005, and is operated by the Sacramento Regional Transit District. The station is located near the intersection of Glenn Drive and Folsom Boulevard.
Rancho San Juan
Rancho San Juan was a 19,983-acre Mexican land grant in present day Sacramento County, California given in 1844 by Governor Manuel Micheltorena to Joel P. Dedmond. The grant extended east of Captain Eliab Grimes Rancho Del Paso along the north bank of the American River, across from William Leidesdorff's Rancho Rio de los Americanos, and encompassed present day Orangevale, Fair Oaks and most of Carmichael.
