Palm Springs Unified School District
The Palm Springs Unified School District, or PSUSD, is one of three public education governing bodies in the Coachella Valley desert region of Southern California. PSUSD governs the western half of the valley; the Coachella Valley Unified School District and Desert Sands Unified School District oversee communities in the eastern half. Administrative offices are located in Palm Springs.
Palm Springs Walk of Stars
The Palm Springs Walk of Stars are portions of Palm Canyon Drive, Tahquitz Canyon Way, La Plaza Court and Museum Drive in downtown Palm Springs, California, where "Golden Palm Stars" are embedded in the sidewalk pavement. Established in 1992 by Gerhard Frenzel and Barbara Foster-Henderson, it is similar to the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame. The first five Golden Palm Stars were dedicated to Earle C.

The Palm Springs Convention Center is a 245,000 sq ft facility located in downtown Palm Springs, California. Architect William Pereira designed the original building in 1974. In 2005 the Convention Center completed a massive expansion, adding over 100,000 sq ft . It can accommodate groups from 12 to 12,000 people. The new design, by Fentress Architects, pulls colors and design elements from the surrounding desert. Additional meeting space is available at the attached 410 room convention hotel.

Forever Marilyn is a giant statue of Marilyn Monroe designed by Seward Johnson. The statue is a representative of one of the most famous images of Monroe, taken from 1955 film The Seven Year Itch. Cactus to Clouds Trail
The Cactus to Clouds Trail from Palm Springs, California, to San Jacinto Peak, is a hiking trail with the greatest elevation gain of any trail in the United States. Also known as the Skyline Trail, it climbs 8,000 feet from the desert to Long Valley where it joins with the main trail to gain another 2,600 feet to the summit. The trail is 10 miles to the tram in Long Valley, or 20 miles to San Jacinto Peak and back down to the tram. The trail starts behind the Palm Springs Art Museum.
