Roseville (formerly, Roseville Junction, Junction, and Griders) is a city in Placer County, California, United States, located in the metropolitan area of Sacramento. As of the 2012, the population was estimated to be 126,323. Roseville's population is expected to reach 133,680 by 2015. Interstate 80 runs through Roseville and State Route 65 bisects the northern part of the city. Roseville is the largest city in Placer County.

Roseville Amtrak Station is at 201 Pacific Street in Roseville, California, United States, reached from Interstate 80 via the Douglas Boulevard exit. It has an enclosed waiting area and restrooms and is open Monday-Saturday 6:45 AM to 5:00 PM. The design of the two story building pays homage to Southern Pacific Railroad stations from the early 20th century. In FY2010 it was the 30th-busiest of Amtrak's 73 California stations, boarding or detraining an average of about 190 passengers daily.
Secret Ravine
Secret Ravine is a perennial tributary of Miners Ravine which shortly thereafter runs into Dry Creek located in Placer County, California. Its course lies within the cities of Rocklin, Loomis, and Roseville, as well as unincorporated parts of Placer County. It passes through the campus of Sierra College. Adelante High School is one of seven high schools in the Roseville Joint Union High School District in Roseville, Placer County, California. Established in 1965, Adelante High School had only eight students and one instructor and occupied a single room of the Roseville City District's Atlantic Street School. The following year, Adelante moved to the Placer County Fairgrounds where the program grew steadily as the demand for alternative education grew.

The Maidu Museum & Historic Site is an Interpretive Center museum dedicated to public education about the Maidu peoples. The museum sits at an ancient site where Nisenan Maidu families lived for 3,000 years. Hundreds of bedrock mortar holes, petroglyphs on sandstone boulders, rock art, and a vast midden area are evidence of thousands of years of residence. The site has been on the National Register of Historic Places since 1973. The site is unique in the presentation of Maidu life.
