Aliso Viejo, California
Aliso Viejo is a city in Orange County, California. It had a population of 47,823 as of the 2010 census, up from 40,166 as of the 2000 census. It became Orange County's 34th city on July 1, 2001, the only city in Orange County to be incorporated since 2000. It is bordered by the cities of Laguna Beach on the west and southwest, Laguna Hills on the east, Laguna Niguel on the southeast, and Laguna Woods on the north.

Laguna Niguel is an affluent, master planned community located in the coastal San Joaquin Hills of southern Orange County, California. The name Laguna Niguel is derived from the words "Laguna"... Rancho Niguel
Rancho Niguel was a 13,316-acre Mexican land grant in present day Orange County, California given in 1842 by Governor Juan B. Alvarado to Juan Avila. The rancho was named for a local Indian village called "Niguili. " The grant extended along the Pacific coast from Laguna Canyon and Laguna Beach, past Aliso Creek to Dana Point and San Juan Creek. The rancho encompassed those present day places and Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo, and Laguna Hills.
Irvine Bowl
The Irvine Bowl is an amphitheater in Laguna Beach, California. It is also known as the Festival of the Arts Amphitheater because it has hosted the Pageant of the Masters associated with the Laguna Beach Festival of the Arts for over 60 years. Adjacent to the Bowl is the Moulton Theater, which is home to the Laguna Playhouse. The Bowl has a capacity of approximately 2,700 and was built in the 1940s. Portions of it were rebuilt in the 1990s following several mudslides.

By itself, the SMCA measures 3.45 square miles. The SMCA protects marine life by limiting the removal of marine wildlife from within its borders, including tide pools.
Laguna Beach State Marine Reserve
Laguna Beach State Marine Reserve (SMR) and Laguna Beach State Marine Conservation Area (SMCA) are two adjoining marine protected areas that extend offshore of Laguna Beach in Orange County on California’s south coast. The SMR covers 6.27 square miles, and the SMCA covers an additional 3.44 square miles. These two MPAs are part of a four-MPA complex on the coast of southern Orange County.
