Corona del Mar, Newport Beach
Corona del Mar or CdM (Spanish for "Crown of the Sea") is a town in the affluent city of Newport Beach, California. It generally consists of all land on the seaward face of the San Joaquin Hills south of Avocado Avenue to the city limits, as well as the development of Irvine Terrace, just north of Avocado. Corona del Mar is known for its fine beaches, tidepools, cliffside views and quaint village shops.

The Wedge (surfing)
The Wedge is a world-famous surfing, bodyboarding and bodysurfing spot located at the extreme east end of the Balboa Peninsula in Newport Beach, California. During a south swell of the right size and direction, the Wedge can produce huge waves up to 30 feet high. The waves are a by-product of improvements to the groin (rock jetty) on the west side of the Newport Harbor entrance undertaken during the 1930s.
Newport Center
Newport Center is a business, shopping, and entertainment district located on a high bluff overlooking Newport Harbor in Newport Beach, California. Newport Center is also famously dubbed "Fashion Island" amongst locals. It was created in the early 1960s as part of William Pereira's master plan for the Irvine Ranch. Newport Center was created as the unofficial "downtown" of the Irvine Ranch, which at the time extended all the way down to Pacific Coast Highway.
Sherman Library and Gardens
The Sherman Library and Gardens (2.2 acres) are botanical gardens located at 2647 East Coast Highway, Corona del Mar, California. They are open to the public every day but major holidays; an admission fee is charged most days. Today's garden began in 1955 when Arnold D. Haskell (1895-1977) bought the Norman's Nursery property. Mr. Haskell named the Library and Gardens after his mentor and benefactor, M. H. Sherman (1853-1932).
California's 48th congressional district
California's 48th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of California based in Orange County in Southern California. The district from 2003-2013 included the cities of Aliso Viejo, Dana Point, Irvine, Laguna Beach, Laguna Hills, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Woods, Lake Forest (formerly known as El Toro), Tustin, and parts of Newport Beach and San Juan Capistrano. The district is currently represented by Republican Dana Rohrabacher.
China House of China Cove
China House was a distinctive pink home located in Newport Beach, California. It was built in 1927 by a Pasadena, California resident whose wife loved Chinese architecture and culture. The bright pink home was for many a landmark to mariners upon making entrance to the Newport harbor. The home was built using elaborate scrolling and curved Chinese architecture that was based on the Buddhist belief that evil spirits could hide in straight lines.
