Pebble Beach is an unincorporated community in Monterey County, California. It lies at an elevation of 3 feet (1 m). Pebble Beach is a small coastal resort destination, home to the famous golf course, Pebble Beach Golf Links. As well, The Inn at Spanish Bay and The Lodge at Pebble Beach and four of the eight golf courses inside the Pebble Beach community are among the local assets owned by the Pebble Beach Company.

Pebble Beach Golf Links is a golf course located in Pebble Beach, California, on the west coast of the United States. Pebble Beach is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful courses in the world. It hugs the rugged coastline and has wide open views of Carmel Bay, opening to the Pacific Ocean, on the south side of the Monterey Peninsula. In 2001 it became the first public course (i.e. , open to the general public for play) to be selected as the No.1 Golf Course in America by Golf Digest.
Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance
The Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance is an automotive charitable event held each year on the Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California, considered the most prestigious event of its kind. It is the finale of a week long festival of classic cars events in the Monterey area every year. A Concours d'Elegance (French, literally "a competition of elegance") is an event open to both prewar and postwar collector cars in which they are judged for authenticity, function, history, and style.
Pebble Beach Road Races
The "Del Monte Trophy" was held on the twisty, leafy, and very narrow town roads in Pebble Beach, California from 1950 through 1956. The races were managed under the auspices of the SCCA (Sports Car Club of America), as were most races from that day to this. The route was originally 1.8 miles long, but was lengthened from 1951 onwards to 2.1 miles . The search for an appropriate route for the race began at the famous 17 Mile Drive but that later proved unsuitable.

Cypress Point Club is a private golf club in California. The club has a single 18-hole course, one of eight on the Monterey peninsula near Monterey, California. The course is well known around the world for its series of three dramatic holes that play along the Pacific Ocean: the 15th, 16th and 17th, which are regularly rated among the best golf holes in the world. The 16th is a long par three that actually plays over the ocean.
1982 U.S. Open (golf)
The 1982 U.S. Open was the 82nd U.S. Open held from June 17–20, and was just the second U.S. Open (and third professional major) to be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California. Previously, Jack Nicklaus had won the 1972 U.S. Open and Lanny Wadkins had won the 1977 PGA Championship. The 1982 tournament was won by Tom Watson, two strokes ahead of runner-up Jack Nicklaus. It was Watson's only U.S. Open victory, and the sixth of his eight professional major titles.
2000 U.S. Open (golf)
The 2000 United States Open Championship was the 100th U.S. Open Championship, played from June 15 to June 18 at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California. Tiger Woods won his first U.S. Open by a historic fifteen strokes over runners-up Ernie Els and Miguel Ángel Jiménez. As the United States Golf Association wanted to begin the millennium with a memorable tournament, Pebble Beach was moved up several years in the rotation and hosted the 2000 U.S. Open.
1992 U.S. Open (golf)
The 1992 U.S. Open was the 92nd U.S. Open. The golf tournament was held June 18–21, 1992, at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California. Tom Kite, long considered one of the best players to never win a major, finally broke through with a U.S. Open title, two strokes ahead of runner-up Jeff Sluman. Gil Morgan was the story of the opening two rounds. He took the first-round lead with a 66, then recorded a second-round 69 for the 36-hole lead.
1972 U.S. Open (golf)
The 1972 U.S. Open was the 72nd U.S. Open. The golf tournament was held June 15–18, 1972, at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California. Jack Nicklaus, age 32, captured his third U.S. Open title, three strokes ahead of runner-up Bruce Crampton. This was the first of six major championships held to date at Pebble Beach: five U.S. Opens and the 1977 PGA Championship.
1977 PGA Championship
The 1977 PGA Championship was the 59th PGA Championship, played August 11–14 at Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, California. Lanny Wadkins, 27, won his only major championship in a sudden-death playoff over Gene Littler. It was the first playoff at the PGA Championship in ten years and was the first-ever sudden-death playoff in a stroke-play major championship.
2010 U.S. Open (golf)
The 2010 United States Open Championship, the 110th U.S. Open, was played June 17–20 in Pebble Beach, California. This was the fifth U.S. Open to be played at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The Championship was won by Graeme McDowell of Northern Ireland, the first European to win the U.S. Open in forty years; Tony Jacklin of England won in 1970.
Rancho Pescadero (Barreto)
Rancho Pescadero (also called "Punta del Cipreses") was a 4,426-acre Mexican land grant in present day Monterey County, California given in 1836 by Governor Nicolás Gutiérrez to Fabián Barreto. Pescadero means fishing place in Spanish. The grant extended along the Pacific coast from Rancho Punta de Pinos and Seal Rocks south to Carmel by the Sea and encompassed present day Pebble Beach, California.
