Marina, California
Marina is a city in Monterey County, California, United States. The population was 19,718 at the 2010 census. Marina is located along the central coast of California, 8 miles west of Salinas, and 8 miles north of Monterey, at an elevation of 43 feet (13 m). Marina was incorporated in 1975 and is the newest city on the Monterey Peninsula.

California State University, Monterey Bay (CSUMB) is a small public university in the California State University system on the site of the former U.S. Army base Fort Ord, on the Central Coast of California.
