Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca
Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (previously known as Laguna Seca Raceway) is a paved road racing track used for both auto racing and motorcycle racing, originally constructed in 1957 near both Salinas and Monterey, California, USA. The current racetrack is 2.238 miles in length with a 180 feet elevation change. It has eleven turns, including the famous "Corkscrew" at Turns 8 and 8A.
2008 United States motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2008 United States motorcycle Grand Prix was the eleventh round of the 2008 MotoGP championship. It took place on the weekend of July 18–20, 2008, at the Laguna Seca circuit. It was an eventful race between Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner where the lead was hotly contested between the two. On lap 23, with Rossi leading after an ingenious but controversial pass down the corkscrew, Stoner entered into the last corner too deep and ended up in the gravel trap.

Rancho El Toro
Rancho El Toro was a 5,668-acre Mexican land grant in present day Monterey County, California given in 1835 by Governor José Castro to José Ramón Estrada. The grant extended along Toro Creek south of Hill Town on the Salinas River.
Rancho Corral de Tierra (Figueroa)
Rancho Corral de Tierra was a 4,435-acre Mexican land grant in present day Monterey County, California given in 1836 by Governor Nicolás Gutiérrez to Francisco Figueroa for his daughter Guadalupe Figueroa. The name means “earthen corral” in Spanish. The grant was south of in the upper Carmel Valley along Calera Canyon, between Rancho El Toro and adjoined the northern boundary of Rancho Los Laureles.

Rancho Chamisal was a 2,737-acre Mexican land grant in the Salinas Valley, in present day Monterey County, California given in 1835 by Governor José Castro to Felipe Vasquez. The grant was located east of Monterey and extended along Pilarcitos Canyon, south of the Salinas River . The grant was bounded by Rancho El Toro on the east.
